Did you receive unwanted books, audiobooks, DVDs or Blu-Rays for Christmas? Do you have a stockpile of gently used books and movies in your dorm, home, or office that you just can’t seem to get rid of?
You may not have much use for that From Justin to Kelly DVD or your hardback copy of Managing a Dental Practice The Genghis Khan Way, but we at the library would love to get our hands on your unwanted stuff! Donate your new or gently used books, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and CD audiobooks to the Library’s Million Pennies Book Drive, and help us put your junk to good use!
We’ll send the items to Better World Books, where they’ll be sold, donated to literacy organizations, or recycled–nothing goes into the landfill! Five percent of the proceeds from items sold will benefit the National Center for Family Literacy, and the Library’s Million Pennies Campaign will receive 15% percent of the proceeds!
All donated items should be in good condition–books must not have torn or missing pages, excessive cover wear or markings, or broken spines; DVDs, Blu-Rays, and CD audiobooks must be playable and in their original packaging. More info on what Better World Books can accept can be found here.
Bring your donations to the big collection box in the library lobby, just inside the front door. Please direct all questions to Jeff Harbin, User Services Librarian (jeharbin AT milligan.edu / 461-8495). Thank you for your support, and remember to follow the Million Pennies Campaign–and all library news–on Facebook and Twitter!
