As of July 16th, 2012, all alumni and community borrowers must obtain a laminated Milligan identification card from the Milligan Information Technology (IT) Department to continue enjoying borrowing privileges. This change will bring the library’s identification system in line with other Milligan departments. All alumni and community accounts associated with paper-based cards will expire on July 16, 2012, even if the original expiration date on the account is later than that date.
To obtain a new card, simply visit the Milligan IT Office—they’re open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and they’re located on the lower level of the Student Union Building. No appointment is required to receive your new card, and the cards will not feature your photograph, so don’t worry if you’re not feeling photogenic!
This change affects Milligan alumni and community borrowers only. Students, faculty, and staff can continue to use their Milligan-issued IDs, and Emmanuel Christian Seminary students, faculty, and staff, can use their valid ECS IDs once Milligan library staff create accounts for them in person.
Please contact Jeff Harbin, User Services Librarian, at jeharbin@milligan.edu or 423.461.8495 with any questions. Have a great summer!
